Severely autistic Alex will not sit on a bus, and they are not regular or indeed cheap. A taxi from St Peter's housing estate to the special school would cost £6 to school and then £6 to return.That is £12 in the morning and, bearing in mind that we want our son home after school, that is £12 in the evening, adding up to £24 a day.  more...

Our February meeting was our first for 2008 as we do not have a meeting in January. Nineteen members were welcomed to Finstall village hall and they very much enjoyed an amusing talk by Ed Shore, illustrated with lovely slides, of a hair raising trip he had taken in his car, towing a small caravan, through many countries from Turkey to Pakistan.
