Past

From the Archives - February 13, 2008

The club membership embraces a number of cricketers of all-round excellence and all that is needed to enable it to turn out a really first-class eleven is to have facilities for systematic and regular practice.  more...

The couple were featured in the Shuttle/Times & News last year when Bob drove a lorry sporting a huge will you marry me?' banner to Jackie's workplace in Birmingham - and the lorry made a special guest appearance at the wedding. Tables at the reception at The Mill Hotel, Alveley, were named after lorry manufacturers and there were two wedding cakes - one of a lorry and the other of a stack of presents. The bride is the youngest daughter of Maureen Cooper of Whitlenge Farm, Hartlebury, and the late David Cooper, otherwise known as Sid. The bridegroom is the only son of Maggie Talbot of Enville, near Stourbridge, and David Talbot of Wilden, Stourport.Given away by her brother, Adrian Cooper, the bride was attended by her sister Debbie Holbeche, her oldest friend Penny King and close friend Alison Langdon. Best man was Gareth Neale. The bride is production manager for a medical publishing company and the bridegroom is a partner in the family business, DE Talbot Transport. The couple honeymooned in Mauritius.  more...
