The Worcestershire Youth Cabinet

The Worcestershire Youth Cabinet, a group of young people (aged 11-18) elected annually from the across the county have recently completed the Big Questionnaire. The questionnaire will be made available from completion to young people across the county in schools, colleges, youth centres and voluntary organisations and charities working with young people, and the results of this widespread consultation will benefit the Youth Cabinet themselves, and Worcestershire's Members of Youth parliament, as well as local health services, schools, district councils, the police and many many more. The Youth Cabinet have decided on a target of 10,000 responses from the questionnaire, and we are optimistic that this target will be met.  more...

A DECISION has been taken not to reverse a previous resolution not to produce a parish plan for Stoke. At Stoke Parish Council meeting, the agenda item was up for discussion along with appointing councillors to set up and take part in a parish plan working group. But Councillor Dean Smith said: "The parish plan is not worth the paper it is written on and is a waste of money. It's only use is to us and would be how we want to spend our money on projects. We have a projects working group so should utilise this. Bromsgrove District Council is not adopting the plans, so I don't think it's worth it." Councillors decided not to reverse the previous decision.  more...

Elaine Shannon, from Stoke Prior, said she was very much looking forward to meeting the Prime Minister.
