A Ford Fiesta was heading northbound on the M5 when it came off the carriageway and to a rest in the central reservation at junction 4a of the M42 at Lydiate Ash. Prosecutor Paul Whitfield offered no evidence when Mark Hennessy, of Meadow Walk, Droitwich Spa, appeared at Worcester Crown Court charged with supplying a class A drug. Mr Whitfield said that the prosecution had considered further evidence following Operation Cleopatra and had decided not to proceed because there was no realistic prospect of a conviction.
