I think they had worked at their normal job's all day and just carried on through the evening and all through the night looking after everyone. 100 Years Ago August 3, 1907 The annual prize distribution in connection with Dresden House School, Evesham, took place on Tuesday in the presence of a large number of parents and friends, the party altogether numbering about a hundred. After tea had been partaken of, a stroll round the garden was enjoyed and then the distribution took place. Miss Watts extended a welcome to all present and said that though some people might consider it old-fashioned to hold public prize distributions, it gave an opportunity to parents to show their interest and keep in touch with the work which was being done in the school, and it gave encouragement to pupils and teachers to see the parents present. The prizes were distributed by Mrs Henry Field, of The Parks, Evesham.  more...
