INKBERROW ROSE SHOW

Three days of torrential rain saw an inevitable fall in the number of exhibits at Inkberrow And District Horticultural Rose Show at the Village Hall on Saturday, June 16. However, there was still a beautiful display of blooms and visitors enjoyed the colours and scents of summer. Chairman Gareth Thomas thanked everyone for their support, especially those who had helped organise, set up and manned the event.

Winner of the Mary Hewlett Challenge Cup for most points in the Rose Classes: Fred Hunt Class 1 - most fragrant rose: Joyce Richardson.

Class 2 - one bloom H/T or floribunda: Fred Hunt.

Class 3 - three booms one or more varieties H/T or floribunda: Fred Hunt.

Class 4-5 blooms one or more varieties H/T or floribunda: Fred Hunt.

Class 5: three stage roses-bug-perfect-full bloom: Fred Hunt.

Class 6 - one stem cluster flowered: Fred Hunt.

Class 7 - three stems cluster flowered one or more varieties: Fred Hunt.

Class 8 - three stems climber/rambler one or more varieties: J Tromas.

Class 9 - three stems miniature one or more varieties: P Edwards.

Class 10 - three stems shrub one or more varieties: Fred Hunt.

Class 11 - container of mixed herbaceous perennials: Fred Hunt.

Class 12 - container of mixed annuals: Elaine Hodgkinson.

Class 13 - one spray of flowering shrub: Pat Atkin.

Class 14 - pot plant grown for flowers: Ellie Gilkes.

Class 15 - pot plant grown for foliage: P Edwards.
