PIECES inspired by a powerful earthquake will be on show as a popular Bransford-based sculptor opens her studio to the public.
Caro Sweet holds her annual open day on Saturday, June 23, from 10am to 4pm.
Visitors can see first-hand her latest works, based around her unforgettable holiday to the Hawaiian Islands last year.
"I was there when an earthquake struck, 6.6 on the Richter scale," she said. "It really shook things up in more ways than I imagined, it put me in touch with the power of nature and how it impacts on our lives and how a community can really pull together."
A work in progress, Imagineer, will be centrepiece at the exhibition, along with various other pieces, many of which will be on sale.
"This will be the third open day I've held and I really enjoy them, it gives people the chance to see my work, and meet me and I get to meet my customers and get valuable feedback," she said.
The event takes place at Beeches Barn Sculpture Studio in Bransford. For more details, see www.caro sweet.com or ring 07970 505733.
