It is thought that a new committee might carry out investigations which would be of immense value to the industry all over the country, and there is no doubt there is a wide field for the work."  more...

Badsey - grassroots

BADSEY Society: Chairman Will Dallimore was delighted by the response from the society members at the annual general meeting at Badsey Remembrance Hall last Friday. Mr Dallimore had posed the question regarding the society's future events. Many and varied suggestions were received from the 24 members who had braved the snow to attend the meeting. Mr Dallimore, secretary Maureen Spinks and treasurer Terry Sparrow were re-elected, with Aldington resident Jane Neill joining Ian Gibson, Tony Jerram, Mike Lovatt, Richard Phillips and Neil Thould on the committee. After the formal part of the meeting and a break for a cup of tea and a biscuit, members viewed a slide show of aerial photos of Badsey and Aldington. Mr Sparrow reminded members that subscriptions are now due. He said they would not be raised and remained the same as they were when the society started five years ago.  more...
