A HARTLEBURY company has been tasked with addressing Worcestershire Primary Care Trust's - PCT's - considerable storage, archiving and retrieval needs.

The trust manages all of Worcestershire's non-acute NHS healthcare resources, including several community hospitals.

It awarded Whitefoot-Forward the contract following a competitive tender. Whitefoot-Forward has already started the process of taking in the trust's 8,000 off-site archive boxes and re-indexing the contents.

The company will also be removing and managing all the archives currently stored in the PCT's own offices at Isaac Maddox House in Worcester and across the county.

Dave Kendall, governance manager for provider services at Worcestershire PCT, said: "Our previous arrangement was increasingly inadequate.

"We run a complex organisation, with many different departments, all needing to store, locate and manage confidential patient records on a daily basis.

"Whitefoot-Forward provides a professional, flexible records management service that offers an on-line search and retrieval system." Michael Whitefoot, Whitefoot-Forward managing director, said: "It's always our aim to provide the kind of service that saves money, saves time and makes business life generally better and that's what we have been able to offer here."

Whitefoot-Forward already works for private and public sector organisations, including Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
