STUDENTS at Bishop Perowne College will be given a new view of safety awareness from a touring theatre performance.
Pupils at the school were visited by Smartrisk Heroes as part of a touring theatre performance this week.
The tour, part of Worcestershire County Council's efforts to promote safety awareness, covers Worcester, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster and Redditch and will involve more than 7,000 students.
It is hoped to encourage students to Think Before They Act and will use an image and light show with a presentation from an injury survivor, who speaks openly about the reality of living with a disability, caused by sports injuries, car crashes, taking part in dangerous pursuits, or just messing around.
The county council's area road safety officer John Dakin said they hoped the event would have an impact on children and, in some cases, save lives. "We hope it will make them think about their actions, thereby reducing the casualties of students between the ages of 11-18," he said.
