Hunt for heroes

THE search for local heroes begins this Saturday at 11.30am on Church Green in Redditch.

Local musicians Indigo Arts will be providing live entertainment at the launch carried out by the chair of Redditch Partnership, Tom Currie.

MP Jacqui Smith and deputy mayor Mike Clarke will also be explaining how important it is to recognise residents' good deeds.

Friday May 26 is the closing date for nominations before the award ceremony on Friday June 30.

A hotline has been set up to take nominations and general enquiries on 534169.
