Archie leads Kempsey bid

KEMPSEY are making a late run for the Worcester & District Sunday Premier Division title.

But they were made to work hard for their latest 4-1 victory at Callow End.

Kempsey gave a debut to 14-year-old striker James Lambert and he helped set up a hat-trick for Archie Mahmood with Dave Cannon also on the scoresheet.

Steve Maitland grabbed a consolation goal for Callow End.

Oliver Dyde netted twice as leaders Trinity Lakes got back to winning ways with a 2-1 win at Nunnery Wood Sports.

And a Gary Price strike sent Perrywood into second place with victory at Exel Metro.

Arrow 2000 are still in contention with Mark Homer netting twice in their 2-0 home win over AFC Mazak.

Archdales '73 were 2-0 down to Blackpole, Alan Pennick notching both goals, but a brace from Ashley Banner salvaged them a point.

In Division One, Chris White was the shooting star of the day, finding the net five times as Worcester Juniors crushed Kays 6-0.

Matt Molloy and Dean Stone both bagged a brace in Warndon Rovers' 4-2 win at Punchbowl, as did Adrian Wooller and Leon Roberts of Comer Rangers who hammered AFC Deers Leap 8-1.

Other doubles came from Andrew Hodgetts, as Droitwich Spa Eagles drew 3-3 with AFC Severnside, and Danny Jukes in New AFC Barbourne's 4-2 success at Reality Rangers.

On Saturday, Tolladine Sports thrashed Pershore Manor Rovers 8-2. Daniel Harding-Hall netted four times and Dean Taylor added a brace with Oscar Petersen scoring both Pershore goals.

Inkberrow `A' Reserves thumped Goodrest Sports 6-0 with Jack Jarrett and Nick East both netting twice.

A brace from Nigel Grundy helped Hallow WMC to a 3-1 home win over Welland Athletic and Mark Jovanovic scored both goals as Bromsgrove Corinthians beat West Malvern 2-0.

A single srike from Ian Mannion secured three points for Hanley Swan against Martley Spurs.
