I wondered about the spare water

SIR - With the recent shortage of water, it made me wonder how many billions of gallons are in bottles in warehouses, stores, in homes containing beers, lagers, wines, spirits, cordials, canned fruits, soups, sauces, bottled water, liquid medicines and so forth.
And as there are more people in the world, most drinking more that ever before, it must make a difference.
