It's no secret that I'm head's relative

SIR - Bill Davison must be naïve if he imagines the Christopher Whitehead saga is of "no concern", to any local taxpayer living outside the parish of St John's (Letters, March 10). It is very much our concern and has already cost every one of us dearly. He and his pressure group are entitled to express their views and were allowed every opportunity to do so by the elected education authority. MP acted swiftly over my operation

After 10 years, litter law is here

IT must be nearly 10 years ago that I wrote a piece pointing out how Worcester was becoming blighted by litter and graffiti. Our newsdesk decided to follow up the article with a survey of the situation across the Faithful City - but actually didn't get that far. The city council and their officials successfully managed to talk it out, the inquiry lost momentum... and that was that.   more...

And there's plenty more coming.

WORCESTER councillors are becoming increasingly twitchy over the state of parking across the city. One reason is probably because of the development of former car parks in the old Birdport area. Where once was a wasteland of tarmac, a community of redbrick homes and offices will soon patch the gaps in the skyline.   more...
