Air-lift for crash driver

A 25-YEAR-OLD man suffered a broken arm when his black Renault Clio left the road and collided with a fence between Bidford and Alcester.

The incident happened on Thursday as the vehicle was travelling on the A46 towards Alcester from the Bidford roundabout.

The road was closed temporarily as the injured driver was taken to Coventry's Walsgrave Hospital by air ambulance.

Witnesses are urged to call police on 01926 415000.
