SIR - On Wednesday, March 1, I attended a production of Into The Wood at Christopher Whitehead Language College as a guest of one of their students, Brynley Jones. The show brought to the stage children's characters such as Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk and Cinderella and combined them all into a new story.

SIR - I have seen Tony Blair on the television saying God will be his judge about his decision on the Iraq War. Rather strange - I thought Parliament made the decision to go to war, based on the lies he told about weapons of mass destruction being ready to be deployed in 45 minutes.

SIR - Congratulations, Marilyn Peachey (If I Ruled The World, Thursday, February 23). Your question "would you be a dictator, or a benevolent leader?" with its underlying premise that the two basic concepts cannot co-exist, has rankled me since the feature began. At last someone has challenged this premise. Marilyn's response was that she would be a benevolent dictator.

SIR - I have no ambition, Miss Meadows (March 3) to "stand shoulder-to-shoulder" with Bob Geldof - I just wrote a few letters and won a few literary competitions. I have no direct connection with The George Cowley Experience Band, though its leader, Pete Unwin, aged 53, a lecturer at Worcester University, is now a good pal.
