A GIFTED Bromsgrove songbird will join three other artists to hold a charity concert for Christian Aid at the Methodist Centre.
Soprano Julie Rendell, age 24, will serenade the audience at the Stratford Road venue in Spring Light-Classical Concert on Saturday, March 4.
Julie, who attends the Royal North College of Music, will team up with fellow pupils pianist Charlotte Wilson, cellist Chris Sampson and Laura Sinnerton on viola to perform a variety of different songs, from arias by Bach and Schuman to British folk songs.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to Christian Aid in order to further its work to help the poor across the world.
Julie is the daughter of organiser Yvonne Rendell.
She said: "Hopefully we will have a lot of people come to what is sure to be a wonderful night of music.
"All the proceeds go to Christian Aid, so it's all being done for a very good cause."
Julie was one of Bromsgrove's up and coming artists and finished runner-up in the Worcestershire Young Musician of the Year competition in 1998.
Tickets for the show cost £6 and are available from all churches in Bromsgrove, the Korner Kitchen sandwich shop, on Church Street, and on the door of the centre. The concert starts at 7.30pm.
