Fastest flipper first!

ALCESTER went flippin' mad at the annual pancake race this week.

Spectators lined High Street yesterday to watch the races in the cold February weather.

Winners were Louis Hempell, Henry Chedham and Olivia Clarke from Alcester Nursery in the toddler races.

For the junior boys, Jasper Foster was the fastest flipper and joint first in the two junior girls races were Courtney Harris and Nicole Levermore.

In the Ladies Open, Kayleigh Bond came first, and in the mens, Ollie Chester. The pub race was won by the Turks Head.

Prizes were later presented on the church green by the Court Leet.
