WHEN Ombersley internet entrepreneur successfully underwent a life-saving triple bypass heart operation he decided to give something back to future generations.
Now, he is helping to boost the growing trend for fair trade, ethical and environmentally friendly gifts.
Together with his business partner Nick Long, from Bristol, he has launched Yourtomorrow Ltd, an online giftware company. Customers logging on to www.yourtomorrow.co.uk will find a range of natural, non-toxic health and beauty products, fashion items from fair trade sources, eco-friendly household goods, educational toys, energy saving products and arts and crafts giftware made by local artists.
All the products have been produced naturally or from recycled materials.
They have also been made either locally to support communities or to reduce transport, or produced by communities with ethical or fair trade employment practices.
A percentage of every sale on the website is given to charity and customers are offered a wide choice of causes to support.
"We believe that Yourtomor-row offers the consumer a diverse range of giftware and household items to suit all tastes," he said.
"Our range of giftware items aims to avoid the sameness which exists on the High Street. With quick delivery from the site, easy communications and secure payment through Worldpay we also avoid the disappointment when gifts do not arrive in time. Yourtomorrow Ltd. will help to feed the public's growing appetite for fair trade, ethical and environmental goods.
"This trend has been boosted recently by national campaigns such as Make Poverty History and by the endorsement of celebrities such as Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin, who has given his support to Oxfam's Make Trade Fair campaign."
Yourtomorrow's products will be profiled at this years' BBC Good Homes Show at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, from Thursday to Sunday, May 18-21.
