Timothy West returns to Malvern Theatres in Alan Bennett's The Old Country, a bittersweet comedy about what it means to be English.
West plays Hilary, a British spy exiled to Russia who has left behind a life of power and influence.
When Hilary's sister and newly-knighted brother come to visit him and his long-suffering wife, he is forced to re-examine his allegiances.
English Touring Theatre brings the production to Malvern Theatres prior to a run in London's West End. West also appeared in the title role in the company's 2003 production of King Lear, which came to Malvern.
Simon Williams and Jean Marsh of Upstairs, Downstairs fame are also in the cast.
The Old Country plays from Tuesday to Saturday, February 28 to March 4. Tickets are £14 to £22 from 01684 892277.
