MPs ignore public

Sir - In support of Andrew Brown's letter of February 18 on the proposed merger of our most successful West Mercia Police with an untried Super Force.
Worcester News in a survey asked for their readers' opinions of this, in which we voted overwhelmingly against the proposal. But it seems the Home Secretary Charles Clarke chooses to ignore what we want.
Could it be that Mr Clarke is being directed to conform by the unelected European Union that we toe their line?
