Hunt wants title-chasers to bite back

NEIL Hunt is hoping to get Malvern Town's title charge back on track tonight when they travel to lowly Cradley Town in the Midland Alliance (7.45).

Town have been in a dreadful run of form, losing five of their last six games, but a trip to Cradley could be the perfect game to get back to winning ways.

Cradley are struggling in 20th place in the table and were soundly beaten 4-0 at Causeway United on Saturday.

Town boss Hunt said: "Hopefully, we have had our dip in form and we can get back on track starting tonight. We were well clear at the top, but now we are in a real title race.

"If you'd told me at the start of the season we would be in top spot and involved in the title race come February, I definitely would have taken that.

"We had two good training sessions last week, we beat Pershore 6-0 in a friendly last Wednesday night and I am hopeful that we are getting back on the right lines.

"All being well, the players will be all pumped up for the rest of our games now and we can start winning again.

"We have some very big games coming up so we need to raise our level of performance. We need to get some pride back."

Meanwhile, Bromyard Town host Brierley & Hagley in the West Midlands League Premier Division tonight (7.45pm).
