BROMSGROVE'S MP was put in the picture when she took a closer look at a town club.
Bromsgrove Photographic Society invited Julie Kirkbride to look at new equipment brought with a grant.
Last year the group applied for cash through Awards for All from the lottery and received £3,000 to purchase a laptop computer, digital projector and software to enable it to become fully involved with all aspects of digital photography.
Since getting the equipment the club has introduced a digital section into its regular competition schedule. It also intends to introduce digital sections to the annual national exhibition, which it stages every November.
Nigel Taylor, from the group, added: "We plan to run some training sessions for those in the local community who have recently bought their first digital camera and who would welcome some guidance on how to get the best results from it."

Bromsgrove Photographic Society meets every Tuesday at 8pm at Avoncroft Arts Centre, Stoke Heath.
