AN Alcester student took to the streets with her frying pan in a bid to tempt volunteers to sign up for this year's pancake race.
Hatty Smith, 18, proved a flippin' good time could be had at the annual race, held on Shrove Tuesday, in which teams will be allowed to dress to impress and help promote their businesses.
Alcester Chamber of Trade and Commerce member Linda Randell, owner of Linda Rose Lingerie, volunteered to co-ordinate the team when it was suggested at a recent meeting.
She said: "The idea is that members of the ACTC team dress to promote the goods or services they offer.
"It's a great way to support this popular town event, showcase their business and have some fun too."
The Court Leet Pancake Race on February 28 will have cash prizes for winning teams.
Businesses interested in joining the ACTC team should contact Linda Rose Lingerie or telephone 01789 400152.
