A WORCESTER firm has received a national accolade for its contribution to the environment through waste management practices.
Arrow Distributors, in Woodbury Lane, Norton, near Worcester, scooped the Green Apple Awards bronze prize for environmental best practice in the building and construction waste management category.
The presentations were made at the House of Commons where Secretary of State for Health Patricia Hewitt commended some of Britain's greenest companies, councils and communities.
Arrows Distributors managing director Mike Barnes said: "Receiving an award that holds such reverence in the environmental arena is a proud moment for Arrow and is evidence of the extra steps we take to over deliver on environmental targets."
