'No' to Welford plans

WELFORD-on-Avon Parish Council has unanimously agreed to recommend the rejection of plans for new housing association homes to be built in the village.

The application, from South Warwickshire Housing Association, is for 17 affordable homes, four business units, an access road, car parking and open space on land off Barton Road, Welford. At the planning meeting last week, the council heard a statement from the applicant's agent and considered residents' comments. Members are now sending their views to Stratford District Council which will discuss the plans at a committee meeting on February 21.
