What a Wally?

This is a big thank you to all that helped in looking for Wally, a chestnut gelding that had been spooked and escaped from his stable yard at Sherrard's Green, Sunday 3rd December. He had bolted at great speed along the roads and several people helped by driving up and around Pound Bank,Hall Green and the Guarlford Road. Also thank you to the dog walker that eventually caught Wally and took him to a lady with stables next to The Bluebell Inn along the Guarlford Road. Also a big thanks to the police for their assistance.  more...

100 Years Ago December 8, 1906 We regret to see that there is a falling off in the income of Pershore Cottage Hospital, and trust that this is only temporary, as this exceedingly useful institution cannot possibly perform all the work of which it is capable if it is cramped for money. It is gratifying to learn that there is a slight increase in subscriptions and donations of patients, which shows that those who have benefited at the hospital are appreciative. There is, however, a falling off in the annual subscriptions, which is far from satisfactory, and the Committee are going to make an effort to bring the amount back to the figure at which they originally stood, even if they do not surpass it.  more...
