Swifts determined to bounce back

STOURPORT Swifts will be determined to bounce back at home to Aylesbury on Saturday after being left frustrated by a defeat and a postponement.Swifts went down 1-0 at Rothwell last weekend despite dominating the Southern Football League Division One Midlands clash. And their hopes of getting that reverse out of their systems straight away were dashed when their scheduled match with high-flying Brackley on Tuesday was rained off."Rothwell was even stevens in the first-half but we dominated the second-half so to lose in that manner was disappointing," said boss Phil Mullen. "We were up for the game against Brackley but there was a lot of rain on Tuesday so irt was called off after a pitch inspection in the afternoon."We've got Aylesbury at home on Saturday and we drew there in my first game back here so I would class this match as a winnable one."I would expect us to go there, get three points and put things right after last weekend, but we won't take anything for granted."Swifts will be hoping to have either Richard Burgess (back) or Dean Curtis (hamstring) available on Saturday to play up front with Chris Brindley, the former Harriers stalwart signed from Halesowen Town last week."Chris did what we asked off him at Rothwell, he was big and strong and had a presence about him," added Mullen.  more...
