BROMSGROVE shoppers were split between the hustle and bustle of a traffic filled High Street and the peaceful convenience of pedestrianisation. But only a handful of locals were happy with the present system of opening the street to service vehicles only, according to a Messenger survey. Half of those who replied to the survey called for a completely traffic free High Street with provision for the disabled. While 33 per cent wanted it open to traffic again.
