Inquest

THE inquest into the death of an office worker from Droitwich, who was found dead behind a Hanbury Road business, has been adjourned. Steven Hancocks, of Chestnut Spinney, was discovered hanging by a scarf at the rear of the Spa Auto Centre on November 4. The 23-year-old had spent a night out with friends on the same night his girlfriend went out with her friends. Worcestershire coroner Victor Round said at last Tuesday's inquest in Stourport that there had been some angry communications between them over the phone on the evening. Mr Hancocks was found the following morning hanging by his scarf. No note has been discovered and cause of death was asphyxia due to ligature suspension. The case has been adjourned for a future date.  more...
