We’ve built more affordable houses

SIR - I am delighted to see Chris Winwood (Letters, November 6) has taken the time to read the Conservative literature in detail. If this is the same Chris Winwood who ran as a Labour candidate for the council, perhaps he is considering changing his mind? Perhaps like so many others in Worcester he has lost patience with Labour's broken promises?  more...

Try a public car park

I MUST reply to Lynette Ward (Town is stressful, October 26). Store car parks are primarily provided for shoppers at that store. If she just wants to stroll round the shops, buying or window shopping, and doesn't want to rush back to her vehicle every hour or so, there is a simple solution. We have public car parks in Kidderminster and a multi-storey in Blackwell Street where she can park as long as she likes.  more...

Nimby ageism

I have to disagree with Brian Stowe (Your Letters, November 3), as a resident of Park View, in Grange Road, he will admittedly be affected by events in the park, but when he says the concern is "simply high decibels of sound late into the evening - whatever the nature of the noise" he has clearly forgotten the orchestral performances with fireworks that went on until 11pm.  more...
