SIR - The EU Commission is proposing that all vehicles used dipped headlights at all times both day and night. The two most important reasons why this proposal should not become law are that this is really a matter for decision by the individual member countries and, when implemented, would greatly increase problems for motorcyclists who rely on their headlights for them to be seen on our crowded roads thereby preventing accidents with other road users.  more...
