SIR - The attitudes of self-elected representatives who claim to speak on behalf of older people throughout the UK is nothing but a national disgrace. A large number of them sit on quango-style committees and claim to represent older people by understanding their needs and so on. These same people sit back and ignore the plight of citizens of this country they claim to represent. They should all hang their heads in shame. more...

Pay-as-you-throw-away rubbish would be greatest outrage since the poll tox. more...

WE are now only 17 months away from the end of Government subsidy for the Post Office network. No decision has been made on the future of the subsidy or, it appears, the Post Office network itself. I FIND Ledbury Town Council's response declining the chance to come up with a new name for Leadon Bank Residential Home more than disappointing.
