ANALYSIS of industry data by Brewin Dolphin's Wealth Management (BDWM) division reveals that there are over 820,000 people in the UK who are demi-millionaires' each with net wealth of £500,000 or more (this excludes pension assets). Collectively, they are worth over £740 billion or £903,073 each. BDWM estimates that the number of people with at least half a million pounds of net wealth is growing at over 10% a year.  more...

It is believed that the increasing amount of time people now spend in the home is to blame. Stolen van

A BLACK Renault Traffic van containing three vintage Vespa scooters and two boxes of spare parts was stolen from a house in Long Green, Forthampton, overnight on Saturday, September 30. Drink-driving

A MAN was arrested and subsequently charged with drink-driving after his red BMW 320i collided with a garden wall in Longdon. A gate and two gate pillars at The Old Smithy, adjacent to the B4211, were also damaged in the crash shortly after 10pm on Sunday, October 1. The driver will appear before magistrates in Worcester on Tuesday (October 10). Witnesses to the accident should call police on 08457 444888 quoting incident number 800S/011006.  more...
