A HOST of events have been announced for families and adults to learn more about wildlife.

Worcestershire Wildlife Trust has a packed calendar for 2006. Families can spend Sunday afternoons from May to September learning together about birds, creatures of the deep, wild wetland, woods or fungi.

The programme for enthusiastic adults who want to learn a little more about the countryside covers otters, birds, garden butterflies, bats wildflowers and trees.

For adults with a more specialised interest topics include farm management for birds, veteran trees, bee keeping and bats.

All of the adult courses run from March to August and are either on a Saturday or Sunday. The events will involve some outdoor activity and will be based at Lower Smite Farm, near Hindlip, or one of the trust's seventy nature reserves.

The trust is the foremost organisation promoting wildlife conservation and actively restoring and protecting wildlife and wild places in the county.
