Table-top challenge

HANLEY Swan's annual village quiz takes place at the village hall on Friday, January 20, at 7.30pm. Entry is £10 per table of four and prizes include a meal for two at The Swan. Helicopter used in search

POLICE made a late-night sweep of Upton in search of a missing woman. A helicopter searched the river and surrounding areas at around midnight on Tuesday (January 10), while ground patrols were seen investigating areas including the public toilets in High Street. A police spokesman said the woman later returned home safe and well.   more...

THE village breakfast and organised walks on January 2 proved a huge success. Around 50 people took advantage of the three varied walks, led by John and Gill Andrews and Gerald Blandford, whose wealth of local knowledge contributed greatly to the pleasure of walkers from Malvern and Ledbury, as well as parishioners. Over 120 breakfasts were served, resulting in £340 raised for the parish hall refurbishment fund. By popular demand, plans are underway for a midsummer evening walk later in the year.   more...
