House could become a new dental surgery

From the archive, first published Monday 26th Sep 2005.

PLANS are in place to turn a

Malvern house into a dental surgery that could offer NHS treatment to up to 3,000 patients.

The scheme, which is yet to be approved by planning chiefs, is supported by South Worcestershire Primary Care Trust, which will help to set up the surgery by providing a start-up grant.

The application for the conversion

of 58 Spring Lane has been submitted

to Malvern Hills District Council by dentist Dr T Mirza, who is from Edgbaston in Birmingham.

The modern two-storey building is currently a three-bedroom house,

but could become home to a dental practice containing two treatment rooms if the plans are approved.

The blueprint, which can be inspected by a anyone who is interested at the Customer Service Centre in Malvern Library, also shows seven off-road parking spaces.

A previous application was made

by Dr Ahmed Paruk, also from Birmingham, in April.

However, it was withdrawn the following month.

A second application was made in May but withdrawn again in June.
