DRINKERS whose tipple of choice is cider can learn about the art of making it at a special event at Hanbury Hall this month. The historic National Trust house near Droitwich is hosting a lecture lunch on Wednesday, September 14, when cider and perry-making expert Peter Mitchell will be sharing his knowledge on the subject. The Worcestershire-based expert has more than 20 years experience in the field and is an award-winning producer in his own right. The event is part of the National Trust's From Plot To Plot initiative, which celebrates local food in all its variety, and starts at 10am. It will be followed by a lunch featuring apple dishes.
