STADIUM folk, youth jazz and some rhythm and some blues -- it's all in a week's work at local venues.

Warwickshire `stadium folk band' Meet on the Ledge will be gathering on the stage at Worcester's Huntingdon Hall tomorrow night. Expect original tracks and some new versions of old favourites.

Then, on Wednesday (July 9), youngsters aged 12 to 20 from all over the county will be coming together to make up the Worcestershire Youth Jazz Orchestra. They will play a concert to cater for mixed tastes, ranging from classics to Lennon and McCartney, along with some impressive improvisation along the way.

And watch out for the Wilko Johnson Band later in the month (July 18). The co-founder of Dr Feelgood is joined by former Blockheads, legendary bass player Norman Watt-Roy and drummer Monti for some quality rhythm and blues. Contact the Huntingdon Arts box office for ticket details for all three events on 01905 611427.

For some blues before that, visit The Crown and Trumpet Inn in Broadway on Tuesday, July 8, for Cool Hand, a wide range of blues performed by Pete Hayward and Chris Willey. It is staged as a Blues of Broadway night, which are held every second Thursday in the month. Contact the pub on 01386 853202.

For rock fans, The Meatloaf Story is being told at The Roses Theatre , Tewkesbury, tonight while jazz enthusiasts will enjoy Fraser Allibone with the Rod Kelly Trio in the theatre's Warners Bar on Tuesday, July 8.
