No wonder they are seeing double

AN archive storage company has been so successful it has more than doubled in size in just one year.

Whitefoot Forward Records Management was set up to provide a storage and management service for important documents and records for companies in and around Worcestershire.

The firm, owned and operated by Michael Whitefoot, managing director, originally moved into a 4,000sq ft warehouse facility, on Hartlebury Trading Estate, near Kidderminster.

But demand for the company's services has been so strong, it has recently moved to a 10,000sq ft industrial unit on the same estate.

The firm was also named New Business Start-Up of the Year, at the 2003 Business Festival, in March. The festival and accompanying awards are organised by the Chamber of Commerce, Herefordshire and Worcestershire, and recognise the cream of industry within the two counties.

Judges described Whitefoot Forward as having a "superb" marketing strategy, a strong commitment to quality procedures and a long-term growth plan.

They commended the firm's "all round business merit" and its contribution to the local economy.

The firm's turnover has very quickly reached more than £100,000 a year and the number of full-time employees has doubled.

Mr Whitefoot said the choice of the 180-acre Hartlebury Trading Estate for his firm's operations had paid off, with good road access vital for the service the company offered.

"As part of our service, we collect and deliver records to our clients," said Mr Whitefoot.

"Therefore, Hartlebury Trading Estate's excellent access to the national motorway network was a prime factor in our decision to set up the original operation here.

"Being able to easily relocate on the same estate has many benefits and economies for our customers and employees, and for our business."

The new, larger facility also serves a secondary purpose, as it also houses the company's thriving sister company, the recently-established Whitefoot Forward PR and Marketing.
