TWO recitals of the unaccompanied violin music of Johann Sebastian Bach will be given by Rimma Sushanskaya at The Shakespeare Institute, Church Street, Stratford.
On Tuesday, July 9 her programme will include Sonata No 1 in G minor, Partita No 1 in B minor and Partita No 2 in D minor. On Friday, July 12, the programme includes Partita No 3 in E major, Sonata No 2 in A minor and Sonata No 3 in C major.
As the last pupils and protégé of the legendary David Oistrakh, Rimma Sushanskaya continues the great Russian tradition. She is the winner of many awards and one of the rarest distinctions of all, the Ysaye Medal.
Both concerts start at 8pm and tickets cost £8 on the door.
