Be fair and fund SKI as well

From the archive, first published Thursday 21st Feb 2002.

IT is almost beyond belief that Worcest-ershire County Council is funding Severn Waste's appeal against the planning rejection for the incinerator in Kidderminster.

To put it another way, local taxpayers are footing the bill for a facility nobody wants.

The SKI (Stop Kidderminster Incinerator) organisers deserve support, not least from the county council who should contribute the same amount to SKI as to Severn Waste.

Should the incinerator be built, the only good to come out of it will be a solution to the car parking problem.

Fewer spaces will be needed since the dioxins will get rid of a lot of us.
